If I could share one piece of advice with new entrepreneurs, I would say your story is the best way to grow your business.

I started Priority VA 6 years ago. I thought business would come to me. WOW! What an ego! I didn’t realize it was egotistical, but looking back, it seems ridiculous to think that the right people will come to me because of either my passion to help entrepreneurs or my unique name.

Both my passion and blessing of a one-of-a-kind name only carried me so far. Once that strategy stopped working for me, I had to reassess. What would draw people to Priority VA?

I had no idea it would be my story.

How do I know this? Because over the last few years, I’ve spoken on multiple stages and been a guest on over 50 podcasts and each time is an opportunity to share my story. Stories of:

Never in a million years would I have dreamed that people would flock to my business because of my vulnerability. I shared from my heart and person after person sought me out because they could relate to my story. Whether it was from the stage, a podcast, or a conversation, personal connection is what grew my business.
