It isn’t often that someone gives you full control of the weekly blog. However, this week, something new is happening on the Priority VA blog post.
It’s possible you’ve received an email from me starting out with…
“Hi, there! I’m Kim, Trivinia’s assistant…”
If you haven’t met me, then… Hi, there! I’m Kim, Trivinia’s assistant.
We thought it would be fun to get to know the person behind the curtain. Before you click that little red dot in the corner and wish for the wise words of Trivinia, stick with me. I promise to make it worth your time. And besides, who doesn’t love a good story!
Here goes… (I’m about to get vulnerable!)
I joined Priority VA three years ago. It’s truly by the grace of God that I had even reached out. Many that know me, know that I’m an extrovert in person. However, when it comes to private Facebook groups, I was more of a lurker. That all changed one fateful February day. (Too dramatic?!)
I was at a bit of a crossroad in my life.
I had left my corporate job to stay home with my kids. My husband wanted us to move nearly an hour away to help with his family’s farm. We’d have a home and land and… cows.
It would be fun. I would be able to stay at home with my kids, have a garden and be the homeroom mom I’d always wanted to be. I’d have it all!
After a year of serving my family as a stay at home mom, I was feeling something. I was feeling lost. Hear me when I say that being a mom is so incredibly hard! I don’t know how women do it. When I see moms in the grocery store with kids 3 kids under 7 years old, I don’t judge their parenting or their child screaming for a cookie. I simply give them a sympathetic eye and a nod, saying “we’re in this together, sister!”. It can be a thankless, yet rewarding job. Though the rewards often seem delayed.
I love my family. I love volunteering. Yet, I needed something that brought fulfillment to my life. Something that gave me purpose and allowed me to use my skills that were wasting away. Enter Trivinia Barber and Facebook.
When I read Trivinia’s request for Virtual Assistants to join her team, I was curious. We connected on Zoom and hit it off. I began working as her virtual assistant and the rest they say is history.
Over the years, I have learned so much simply by watching everything she is doing. There is a reason she has worked for high profile individuals. But, can I let you in on a little secret?
Trivinia IS high profile.
I’ve watched her tackle big projects, lead a team, build a business and raise a family. She has spoken in front of audiences, coached high-level entrepreneurs, cheered on new businesses and invested in 50+ Virtual Assistants. Ya’ll, if that isn’t high profile, I don’t know what is.
I’ve learned an incredible amount from Trivinia simply because she believed in me. She has taken the time to encourage me when I needed the extra motivation to believe in myself. She has worked with some of the best teachers in the world to set me up for success and has empowered me to use my strengths… even strengths I never knew existed.
There are several places online that promise to teach people how to become a virtual assistant. It’s wonderful! We encourage and cheer them on. However, not every program will equip you to support high-level entrepreneurs.
This is why Trivinia has decided to offer her brand new program, E3Collective. (You can say that like a game show host if you’d like! “A brand new proooogram!”)
Encouragement
In E3Collective, Trivinia will take the time to encourage each Virtual Assistant.
You know that friend that says something is super awesome when it really sucks? Trivinia is not that friend. She looks out for you and does so in a way that never says “Yeah, that’s really bad”. Instead, she’ll say “Okay, well that’s a good start, but what if we did x,y,z?”. The strategies that she creates are incredible.
Equip
Hands down, Trivinia is one of the most generous people ON. THE. PLANET. She is constantly sought out for advice. Not only from myself, but from other Priority VAs and entrepreneurs. She truly wants to see everyone succeed. If I were running a business, I would want someone like Trivinia backing my VA with her knowledge and resources. She works with top-notch trainers to share programs, webinars and extra training with our team. If we don’t set our clients up for success, then we all fail. Am I right?
Empowerment
One year ago, I said I wasn’t a writer. I was certain of it. Then I took a stab at a writing opportunity because it needed to be done. We were down to the wire on a deadline, no one was able to complete it, so being the hard working (and humble!) person I am, I said I’d give it a shot.
Remember when I said she encouraged me in strengths I never knew existed? Turns out writing is one of them! Trivinia took the time to encourage me. Give me the proper tools to utilize this hidden talent and then let me run with it!
To say I am thankful for this lady is an understatement. Becoming a Virtual Assistant was completely new to me. Trivinia has provided the tools I needed to not make this a little side job, but to make this a career serving online entrepreneurs.
Would you like your VA to receive encouragement from Trivinia, become equipped with the tools they need to be successful and empowerment to utilize those tools to grow your business?
If so, register your VA for E3Collective. Live coaching calls, training opportunities, and a live mastermind. All with your business in mind.
The investment you’re making in E3Collective may just be what your business needs in the second half of 2017.
And in case you’re wondering……farm life is fantastic!
